The company hasn’t shared details about its tariffs for prepaid and postpaid connections, but as per our sources the telco’s postpaid plan for enterprises are categorized into two segments IOIP [a single connection can be availed by a customer] and COCP [needs more than 10 customers in this segment along with PAN and other mandatory proofs]. Both these connections are for enterprise customers with a valid company email ID and ID proof. The corporate connections can be availed from few Jio centers in top tier cities on submission of mandatory documents.

Under the base plan, Jio will charge 2p/sec for local and STD voice calls within home circle, and 5p/sec for local or STD video calls. Local or STD SMS will be charged at Re 1, while customers will need to pay Rs 5 for an international SMS. Jio will charge 0.5p for per 10KB LTE data usage.

For roaming customers, Jio will charge 80p/min per minute for outgoing local voice calls, and 45p/min for incoming local voice calls. It will charge Rs 1.15/min for outgoing STD voice calls, and 45p/min for incoming STD voice calls. Roaming customers will be charged 25p for local SMS and 38p for STD SMS.

Since December, Reliance Jio has been doing test runs for its pan-India high-speed 4G network in preparation for a commercial launch. The telco recently said that it is serving to over 1.5 million customers under the test run.

TT earlier reported that Reliance Jio will soon launch ‘Choose Your Own Number’ service for potential postpaid customers that will allow them to avail special mobile number of their choice, in a bid to attract high value customers.

Jio is likely to come up with attractive postpaid plans and rates to poach high-value customers from the likes of Bharti Airtel, Vodafone and Idea Cellular. We also learnt from our sources that the commercial launch will not happen anytime till December* and preview offer will further continue to extend. After Jio services go commercial the free preview offer lapses consumer will be charged as per the bundled offering of that specific plan or till further details are communicated.
