Apple, the Cupertino tech giant, will finally bring high-refresh rate on all iPhone models in the iPhone 17 series. With the recently launched iPhone 16 series, the high-refresh rate or the 120Hz displays are reserved for the Pro models. The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus continue to offer standard 60Hz displays. However, a popular tipster that goes by the name Digital Chat Station (DCS) on Weibo said that all the iPhone 17 models will feature 120Hz refresh rate support. Apple calls its 120Hz display tech "Pro Motion". Note that Apple doesn't manufacture these displays. It purchases it from other major vendors such as Samsung and LG.

The iPhone 17 series is expected to feature LPTO panels from Samsung and LG, according to an ET report citing industry sources. The launch of the iPhone 17 series will take place sometime in September 2025. Before that, Apple is expected to launch the iPhone SE 4. One more iPhone is expected to be launched during the year, which is the ultra slim iPhone 17 Air. It will compete with the slim phone which even Samsung has planned to launch in the Galaxy S25 series.
iPhone SE 4 will likely retain the 60Hz display panel. It is expected to come with the same design as the iPhone 14. It will be interesting to see whether it will get support for Apple Intelligence.
