Intex ELYT Dual With 4G VoLTE Support and Dual Selfie Cameras Launched at Rs 6,999

Homegrown manufacturer Intex Technologies launched a new selfie-centric dual camera smartphone, the Intex ELYT Dual, on Tuesday. Starting for Rs 6999, the phone is already up for sale via both online and offline stores. It comes in two colour variants - Champagne and Black option.

Talking about the USP, Intex's latest budget device is one of the rare smartphones to offer dual front cameras. The ELYT Dual comes equipped with 8MP + 2MP sensors on the front accompanied by an LED flash. Intex claims the ELYT Dual can click DSLR quality pictures. The rear camera setup includes another 8MP sensor again paired with LED flash. Both the front and rear cameras come with autofocus support.

The dual-front camera system comes with several modes such as “Bokeh Effect”, “Background Change Effect”, “3D Noise Reduction” and various filters. The Bokeh Effect allows users to apply DSLR like portrait effect in real time and also adjust the focus later on using the integrated editor. The Background Change lets users add, change or edit photo background.

Another feature dubbed “Dermabrasion” enables the user to remove uneven lines scars and even acne from the skin. There is also an Audio Pics feature that allows users to add 10 seconds of audio to the image. Night Shots feature is good for taking pictures in low light conditions. A Spy Cam feature is present on the phone, which can be used to take pictures discreetly that are saved directly in the gallery.

Moving on to core specifications, the Intex ELYT Dual sports a 5-inch HD IPS display with 2.5D curved glass covering the top for screen protection. Under the hood, a quad-core Spreadtrum 9850 chipset clocked at 1.3GHz paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage powers the device. There is also microSD card slot allowing for up to 128GB expansion of memory.

ELYT Dual packs G Sensor, Proximity and Light Sensors and comes with connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi. Powered by a 2400mAh battery, Intex ELYT Dual runs Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat. The software front also includes preloaded “DataBack”, that allows 500MB data backup for users per month for free.
