Idea Cellular has introduced unlimited free local and national calls in Karnataka circle. The plan is named "999 Unlimited Local and STD" which com allows users to make unlimited calls. Users in Karnataka can opt for a monthly rental of Rs. 999 and enjoy unlimited local and national calls. Apart from it, they also get 500 local and national SMS.

Note: These free calls are valid only on mobile network. Users will have to pay 50p/minute if they call fixed lines. When it comes to roaming, they will be charged Rs. 0.45/ minute for incoming calls, 0.80 for local outgoing calls, Rs. 1.15/min for STD outgoing and Rs 0.25/0.38/5.00 for Local/ STD/ ISD SMS.
The company has decided not to provide free or discounted calls on the days such as- January 1, 2015, February 15, 2015, November 10-11, 2015 (Diwali), December 31, 2015 (Last day of year).
