Idea Cellular one of the leading GSM mobile services operator in India, plans to expand its footprint to four more Telecom circles to cover the whole of India by the end of year 2009.Recently Idea cellular launches its mobile Service in TamilNadu and Chennai Metro circle as its pan-India rolls out plan.
At present,the company has its GSM mobile service in Andhra Pradesh, Bihar-Jharkhand, Delhi-NCR, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh-Chattisgarh, Maharashtra-Goa, Mumbai, Orissa, Punjab, Rajasthan,Tamilnadu-Chennai,UP-East and UP-West telecom circle.
Idea cellular's presence in 18 out of 22 Telecom circles in the country.It has over 47 million GSM mobile subscribers under brand IDEA. The company has licenses and spectrum to operate in all 22 service areas of India.
According to the company sources By the end of December 2009, Idea cellular will cover KolKata Metro, West Bengal, Assam, the North-East and Jammu and Kashmir to become pan-India.
