Benefits of Cloud Technology
A common cloud platform will be used by the telecom giant which will unify and bring both data and calling services onto a single place. As highlighted by IANS, who made the news public, this step is going to result in a significant reduction of operational costs and time-to-market. In turn, by this technology, Idea Cellular will be rendered in a better position to providing a better quality of service for its subscriber base as per Nokia’s official statement.
Company’s Outlook on New Technology
Anil Tandan, Chief Technology Officer at Idea, commented on this new development concerning the partnership with Nokia, he said, "As India prepares to define its path to 5G, we at Idea are building the foundation by adding Nokia's cloud core capabilities. This deployment will allow us to deliver a best-in-class network experience to our subscribers and significantly reduce the time required to introduce new services.”
Owing to this technology, the most effect will be seen in the areas of lifecycle management, higher scalabilities and capacities. In general, the technology will majorly facilitate automation capabilities, and as a result, Idea Cellular's network will benefit operationally.
