Huawei will officially unveil its latest flagship series the P20, the P20 Lite and P20 Pro on March 27 in Paris. A number of leaks and renders have confirmed the overall design of the smartphones along with key features and specifications. The latest report from the leakster Roland Quandt reveals the camera specifications of the top of the line Huawei P20 Pro device. While the Huawei P20 ships with a dual camera system, the P20 Pro adds in triple camera system on the rear. Like the other Huawei flagship devices, the company brings Leica branded cameras to the P20 Pro. On the rear, the P20 Pro sports triple cameras consisting of a 40MP sensor, a 20MP monochrome sensor and an 8MP telephoto sensor. All these sensors are accompanied by laser autofocus & IR-RGB sensor. The aperture on these cameras ranges from f/1.6 to f/2.4.

The 8MP telephoto sensor comes with 3X lossless optical zoom, but the P20 Pro is also equipped with 5X “Hybrid Zoom”. This makes use of 40MP and 8MP sensors for magnifying the captured photos with the aid of software processing.

The camera app also comes with an exclusive “Pro Night Mode” feature to capture photos with 100% more light. Another “AI Camera Assist” feature on the Pro helps in instant scene detection and auto framing. Huawei had previously teased about Artificial Intelligence camera features on its official social media accounts.

As for the front, adorning the top-notch front is a whopping 24MP selfie snapper. It will come with a “Light Fusion” mode for capturing clearer and brighter selfies even in low light conditions.

The Huawei P20 Pro will sport a 6.1-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ (1080 x 2240) resolution and 19:9 screen aspect ratio. The display is nearly bezel-less with a small notch up top and a fingerprint scanner sitting on the bottom bezel. Huawei’s own Kirin 970 chipset is under the hood, along with Neural Processing Unit for AI capabilities.

The P20 Pro will come in 6GB RAM variant only alongside 128GB of onboard storage. A 4000mAh battery with company’s SuperCharge technology will power the handset. The device also sports IP67 certification rating and will comes in Black, Blue and Twilight colour variants. The Twilight colour option, in particular, looks stunning.
