Since past few weeks rumors about HTC’s upcoming flagship device have been making rounds on the web. Earlier, it was dubbed to be named as M10, but the latest leak from China revealed that the device will be known as HTC O2. As per a report that has come straight out of China, HTC O2 might come with 6-inch 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution QHD display at a pixel density of 490ppi.
The device might also feature Snapdragon 820 processor, which will have quad-core CPU running inside with custom Hydra cores and Adreno 530 GPU for flawless gaming support. There will be 4GB of RAM onboard, and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. HTC O2 will sport a 20.7-megapixel camera on the rear along with 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
Unlike other HTC devices, this one will come with 3,500 mAh battery support, which will help the phone to run longer. In terms of design, the device will have a narrow front outlook with minimal bezels. Yes, it will feature HTC’s customary BoomSound, front-facing speakers as well. The rumor also suggests that the smartphone will also have IP certification for dust and water resistance.
Moreover, the report goes one step further and spills that HTC might also unveil a mini 5-inch version of the O2, which might rock 2K or 4K display resolution. The mini O2 version might come powered by a Snapdragon 82X chipset with an octa-core 3.X GHz of CPU. Rest all the specification will be like its 6-inch version. The rumor mill also suggests that HTC O2 does not differ much in design from regular HTC devices.
