The Honor Bee 2 has support for 4G VoLTE, which is one of the highlighted features of the phone. The Bee 2 has a 4.5-inch FWVGA display with a resolution of 480×854 pixels and is powered by a quad-core chipset with a 1.4GHz CPU. The chipset is accompanied by 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. Thankfully, the memory can be expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.

Camera wise, the Honor Bee 2 rocks a 5MP rear camera with dual LED flash along with a 2MP front-facing camera with no support for LED flash. Connectivity options in the phone include 4G LTE, VoLTE, dual-SIM, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS. It comes with FM Radio support as well.

P Sanjeev, Vice President Sales, Huawei India Consumer Business Group, on the launch of Honor Bee 2 said "We are very excited to introduce the Honor Bee2 in India through our vast offline channel and are confident that it will be a strong performer in the lower mid-level segment. We at Honor are focused on embedding powerful features in the mid-range devices at an affordable price to accommodate consumers’ lifestyle. The Honor Bee2 offers best-in-class user experience, beautiful design and a great mix of hardware and software will be an exceptional choice for consumers in the mid segment market in India."

Honor has added a battery of 2100mAh in the phone and measures 9.9m. It boots Android 5.1 Lollipop in the age of Android Nougat powered smartphones, which is a big letdown. Furthermore, Honor did not mention about the roll out of Android Nougat or Marshmallow update to the phone. The phone will be available in three colour options- gold, white, and black.
