Honor 7X, the mid-range smartphone will be receiving a new over-the-air (OTA) update in the next couple of days which will bring the much-hyped Face Unlock feature to the smartphone. Honor says that the OTA update has started rolling out at the moment and will be completed by mid-March 2018. Notably, the same feature was rolled out to Honor View 10 and Honor 9 Lite smartphones very recently. And now, only the Honor 9i is left out from the list, but it should soon receive the feature too. The Face Unlock feature allows users to unlock their smartphone using their face, and this revolution was started by Apple itself.
Alongside the Face Unlock feature, Honor also announced a 'No Cost' EMI offer on the Honor 7X smartphone. This offer will be available to the customers until March 31, 2018. Starting today, both the 32GB and 64GB variants of the Honor 7X are eligible for the No Cost EMI option on Amazon India.
Honor says that the No Cost EMI offer will make the Honor 7X (first impressions) an even better proportion. The No Cost EMI offer is available on all major credit cards on Amazon India, and this offer doesn't include any interest rate if you purchase the 7X on EMI payment basis.
To recall, the Honor 7X was launched back in December 2017 in India carrying a price of Rs 12,999 for the 32GB storage variant and Rs 15,999 for the 64GB storage option. Both the variants offer 4GB of RAM.
The specifications of the Honor 7X are pretty much similar to Honor 9i, which was launched in October 2017. The 7X packs a 5.93-inch Full HD+ display with slim bezels on top and bottom. The highlight of the smartphone is its design. It is powered by the Kirin 659 chipset and comes in multiple storage options. The smartphone offers a dual camera setup at the back of 16MP RGB sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. The phone is backed by 3340mAh battery and is still on Android 7.0 Nougat based EMUI ROM. However, Honor said that it would be releasing the Android Oreo update to the Honor 7X very soon.
