Huawei sub-brand Honor has furthered its last Honor 10 series of smartphones by launching the Honor 20 series in India. On Tuesday, the brand launched the Honor 20, Honor 20 Pro and the Honor 20i for the Indian market, in an event held in New Delhi. Like the name gives away, the first two phones are flagship devices which sport a punch-hole style cutout, and they pack the Kirin 980 SoC. The Honor 20i is a bit different from these two devices, as it comes with a mid-range price tag, waterdrop notch and Kirin 710 SoC. Here are all the details that you need to know about the Honor 20 series.
Honor 20 Pro and Honor 20: Specifications, Features
There is a lot of similarity between the Honor 20 and the Honor 20 Pro. Both of these devices sport the 6.26-inch AllView punch-hole displays with Full HD+ (2340x1080) resolutions. These phones also come with the 3D Triple Mesh technology on the rear glass panel that includes layers of glass, colour and depth to offer a holographic reflection. The Honor 20 Pro offers a Phantom Blue gradient colour variant whereas the Honor 20 offers Sapphire Blue and Midnight Black colour options.
Speaking of the performance of these devices, the Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro both sport the Kirin 980 AI chipset with Dual-NPU and based on a 7nm process. Honor has also given these phones, the GPU Turbo 3.0 for improved gaming performance. The device runs Android 9 Pie with Honor’s MagicUI on top. Honor 20 Pro has been launched in India with a price tag of Rs 39,999 and comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The Honor 20, on the other hand, comes in the 6GB + 128GB variant which is priced at Rs 32,999. These two phones will be going on sale on Flipkart starting June 25 with a 90% buyback guarantee if the buyers return the device within 90 days.
Honor 20i: Specifications, Pricing and Features
The Honor 20i can be considered as a toned down version of the flagship Honor 20s as the design of the phone has an uncanny resemblance. The rear side of the Honor 20i comes covered in glass, and the device has a triple rear camera setup. The screen is on this phone is a 6.21-inch FHD+ (2340x1080) display with a teardrop notch instead of punch-hole style cutout display. The Honor 20i is available in Phantom Blue, Phantom Red gradient colours as well as Midnight Black colour options.
As for the performance, the Honor 20i sports a 2.2GHz Kirin 710 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage with the option to expand to 512GB via a microSD card. On the software front, the device runs the same Android Pie with Magic UI.
Speaking of the cameras, the phone sports an AI triple camera setup comprising of a 24MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP wide-angle camera and a 2MP depth sensor. The main camera on the device also lends support for AIS Super Night Mode like the Honor 20. The front shooter on this device is a 32MP AI-enabled sensor. Under the hood, the Honor 20i houses a 3,400mAh battery.
