Gionee has unveiled a newbie at its home-town China -- Gionee S6 Pro. The aluminum-magnesium alloy unibody smartphone comes at a price of CNY 1,999 (approx. Rs. 20,000).
A highlight of Gionee S6 Pro is its integration of fingerprint scanner on the home button, which the company claims can unlock the phone in 0.1 seconds. Other specifications of Gionee S6 Pro include a 5.5-inch full-HD IPS display with 1080x1920 pixels resolution, a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 MT6755m processor clocked at 1.8GHz with Mali T860MP2 GPU, 4GB LPDDR3 RAM, and 64GB internal memory expandable up to 128GB with micro SD.
Gionee S6 Pro offers dual-SIM support and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out-of-the-box with Amigo 3.2 OS on top. The second SIM slot also doubles as the microSD card slot.
In terms of camera, Gionee S6 Pro comes with a 13MP autofocus camera at the rear and 5MP front-facing snapper. There is an LED flash integrated to the rear camera, also photo-enhancing features such as night mode, panorama mode, burst mode, magic focus, HDR, GIF and more. Full-HD resolution video recording is also included. In terms of connectivity, Gionee S6 Pro supports Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, GPS, 4G LTE (including Band 40 and VoLTE), USB OTG and USB Type-C. There are sensors such as proximity sensor, accelerometer, magnetometer, ambient light sensor, motion sensor, and gyroscope in this Gionee smartphone.
Gionee S6 Pro comes in three color variants -- Gold, Rose Gold, and Silver. It is available for sale on the company’s online store. However, Gionee has not revealed anything about Gionee S6 Pro availability in other international markets.
