Gionee, after being in the hibernation mode for more than six months has launched a couple of new products in the Indian market. The Gionee S11 Lite and the Gionee F205 are now official in the country. Both the new models are priced on the steeper side because Gionee will be selling them in the offline stores exclusively. The S11 Lite is a good-looking smartphone in the sub-Rs 15,000 price bracket while the Gionee F205 is a smartphone aimed at taking on the likes of the Xiaomi Redmi 5 and others. The F205 is priced at Rs 8,999 whereas the Gionee S11 Lite carries a price tag of Rs 13,999.

Gionee S11 Lite
Gionee, earlier this year in January confirmed to launch the Gionee S11 Lite in India, but due to some issues, the company postponed to launch to today. That's a good lengthy delay. The S11 Lite doesn't inspire confidence when it comes to specifications, but in terms of looks, it goes against the Honor 9 Lite smartphone for the best-looking device under Rs 15,000. The device comes in three colour options- Gold, Dark Blue and Black, but the Dark Blue colour is the standout variant of the three.

Priced at Rs 13,999, the S11 Lite sports a 5.7-inch HD+ display carrying a resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels and pixel density of 282 PPI. Internally, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8937 SoC, which is also known as Snapdragon 430 chipset. The chipset is clubbed to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Thankfully, Gionee has launched only one variant of the smartphone in India, and that's priced at Rs 13,999. There's a microSD card slot as well for storage expansion.

The device runs on Gionee's own Amigo OS 5.0 based on Android 7.1 Nougat. It's backed by a 3030mAh battery with no mentioning of fast charging. This dual-SIM smartphone offers 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and a micro USB port for charging and data transfer. The fingerprint scanner is placed at the back within reach of the index finger.

The Gionee S11 Lite sports dual rear camera setup of a primary 13MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture and a secondary 2MP sensor for adding depth effect to the images. A 16MP front-facing camera is present on the front.

Gionee F205
Moving onto the Gionee F205, the smartphone comes with a price tag of Rs 8,999, which clearly is in the territory of Xiaomi Redmi 5. The Gionee F205 also sports mediocre specifications. It flaunts a 5.45-inch Full View display with HD+ resolution. The device is powered by the MediaTek MT6739 chipset, which has been used in various smartphones under Rs 10,000. It comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. There's an 8MP camera at the back along with a 5MP camera on the front.

The device also runs Android 7.1 Nougat based amigo 5.0 and is backed by a 2670mAh battery. The phone also offers dual-SIM, 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and micro USB port as connectivity options.
