FPT and Ericsson Partner to Drive 5G Adoption and AI Innovation in Vietnam
Technology company FPT and Ericsson have entered a partnership to drive 5G adoption and advance artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation in Vietnam. The collaboration will initially focus on developing 5G applications across key sectors such as healthcare, manufacturing, and augmented and virtual reality for retail, with an emphasis on AI-powered solutions.

Focus on 5G-Driven Solutions

By leveraging Ericsson's 5G expertise, FPT aims to harness the power of 5G in connectivity and data processing to advance its focus on AI, enhance its capabilities, and enable the development of more sophisticated AI-driven solutions.

Leveraging 5G, essential for processing large volumes of data, FPT and Ericsson will develop and deploy innovative use cases for both consumer and enterprise sectors, starting with Vietnam as the initial market, the official release said.

Pham Minh Tuan, FPT Corporation Executive Vice President and FPT Software Chief Executive Officer said: "5G is a catalyst for digital transformation and AI adoption; its acceleration can bring immense benefits to businesses and consumers across industries."

Journey Toward Digital Transformation

Rita Mokbel, CEO of Ericsson Vietnam, added, "Through this collaboration, we aim to unlock the transformative potential of 5G to drive innovation and enhance productivity, thereby accelerating Vietnam's journey toward becoming a digital economy."

With this partnership, FPT becomes one of Ericsson's first 5G partners in Vietnam. The partnership signing ceremony took place during FPT Techday 2024 in Ho Chi Minh City, an annual technology forum organised by FPT Corporation since 2013.
