YourStory has announced on January 13, 2025 the appointment of Sangeeta Bavi, former Executive Director of Digital Natives at Microsoft, as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective January 27, 2025. Sangeeta will oversee business operations and spearhead revenue growth as YourStory prepares for its next growth phase. She will report directly to Shradha Sharma, Founder and CEO of YourStory, according to the company.

Led Digital Natives Vertical at Microsoft
With over 25 years of experience at global corporations such as Microsoft and Nokia, the company shared that Sangeeta reportedly has built a reputation for driving impact and scale. During her decade at Microsoft, she founded and led the Digital Natives vertical, which grew into a key ecosystem partner for India's digital-scale startups. She also served as Chief of Staff to the President of Microsoft India, orchestrating strategic initiatives and ensuring alignment of organisational goals.
At Nokia, Sangeeta led the Developer Outreach Programme, which connected with developers across India, including Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities, fostering local innovation. She has also been a mentor to startups and an active contributor to the SaaSBOOMi community, further cementing her role as a growth enabler.
