Facebook launches video calling facility in India

Facebook video call IndiaFacebook launched its much awaited video calling facility in India recently. For making a video call through Facebook , users need to install messenger or update their messenger app to latest version from Google Play Store or Apple Appstore .

The video calling icon shows when you dial a contact from Messenger, others options on calling screen are speaker , mute call & call end icons.




Now with video calling facility , Messenger competes with Microsoft Corp’s Skype, Apple Inc’s FaceTime and Google Inc’s Hangouts, all of which allow video calls between mobile devices or computers.

Facebook had announced on 28th April, 2015 that it launched video calling on devices using Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android mobile operating systems in Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, France, Greece, Ireland, Laos, Lithuania, Mexico, Nigeria, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, the United Kingdom, the United States and Uruguay.
