E& Egypt Enhances Network with Antenna System to Support Site Sharing
E& Egypt has selected the high-performing 20-port antennas from Ericsson Antenna Systems (EAS) to integrate into its network. These antennas will support high-order site sharing for all operators in the country, optimising structures for the anticipated 5G rollout and future telecommunications developments.

Antennas to Support 5G Rollout

Serving as the gateways for radio access networks (RAN), antennas play a pivotal role in elevating network performance and boosting energy efficiency. The integration of advanced EAS antennas will offer faster speeds, enhanced reliability, and improved connectivity for users across Egypt, the joint statement said.

Enhanced Network Performance

E& Egypt said: "Our efforts in Egypt align with the Sustainable Development Strategy (SDS): Egypt Vision 2030. Our new partnership with Ericsson will enable us to open new opportunities for consumers and businesses in the country through expanding 4G capabilities and preparing for 5G."

Featuring multiple frequencies and technologies on a single radio site, EAS enhances network performance and coverage without requiring additional power sources, the official release said.
