Empire Access, a Northeast fiber-based internet service provider (ISP), has launched its fiber optic internet service in Cortland, New York, enabling connectivity for local businesses and residents. With speeds of up to 1 Gbps for businesses and 2 Gbps for residents, the service aims to boost digital transformation and economic growth in the area.

Fiber Optic Internet Now Live in Cortland
The service is now live in most areas, with the ISP ready to serve 2,214 addresses in Cortland. The network rollout is underway and is expected to be completed by early spring 2025. This new service adds to Empire Access's roster of communities throughout New York and Pennsylvania, the official release said.
"Our goal is to provide communities like Cortland with the right tools to help advance their online capabilities and empower residents and businesses with the gold standard of modern internet," said Kevin Dickens, CEO of Empire Access.
