The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has announced that intra-circle roaming has been activated in the districts of Andhra Pradesh and Telanagana. This will remain active till 11:59 PM, September 3, 2024. In Andhra Pradesh, the intra-circle roaming is active for Krishna and Guntur while in Telangana it is active for Khammam, Nalgonda and Warangal.
This has been done looking at the heavy rainfall in the region. All the telecom service providers (TSPs) have been ordered to comply with the directive. An order from DoT said that the intra-circle roaming facility should also be extended to all in-roamers from other states. The telcos have to treat this as a top priority.

What is Intra-Circle Roaming?
Intra-Circle Roaming is sharing network of one operator with another operator. The primary objective of ICR is always to expand the area of coverage. This helps people stay seamlessly connected to each other. At a time like this in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the government would want everyone to have communication lines with the relevant authorities and their loved ones in case of emergencies.
With this move, people living in Andhra Pradesh and Telanaga can now use any available network, regardless of the carrier/provider. Your phone in most scenarios would automatically connect to the best mobile network available in the region. If it doesn't, you can go to the settings > mobile network > network operators.
