To buy one, the users will need to visit the dedicated DishSMRT webpage on the official DishTV website and enter their details like viewing card number or the registered mobile number after which DishTV will contact the subscribers, and an installation team will pay them a visit. It is also worth noting that the DishSMRT Stick will avail a free preview of 6 months for the Rs 599 price tag and there will be no installation charges. The dongle will also come with a six month warranty period as well, and it will be compatible only with the DishNXT HD set-top box.
Further, to enable the subscribers to enjoy the content without any interruptions, DishTV has recommended that users should be on an internet connection with a minimum of 1 Mbps speed to ensure proper streaming. However, there is also the catch of selected streaming services available on the DishSMRT Stick. Currently, the device offers access to services like Hungama Play, Zee5, SonyLiv, VOOT and ALT Balaji. Some of the big names like Netflix and Amazon Prime remain currently missing now. Another crucial thing to note is that the DishSMRT Stick will be available in select cities only for which DishTV has issued a list of cities where the service will be provided to the consumers upon registration.
