Detel, a brand known for launching affordable feature phones today introduced four new feature phones in the Indian market. The four feature phones, going by names- D1 Boom, D4 Prime, D120 and D500 were made official today, and the highlight of these feature phones is the 'Panic Button'. Detel says that it introduced these phones keeping in mind the Government of India’s regulations regarding women safety. The new models are the first phones by the brand to feature a digital camera. While the D1 Boom and D4 Prime are priced at Rs 699 and Rs 599 respectively, both Detel D120 and Detel D500 are priced at Rs 649 each. The feature phones are available for purchase exclusively on B2BAdda.com. The brand earlier this year launched the cheapest dual SIM feature phone in India at Rs 349.
The feature phones from the new range have the panic button in the form of numeric key 5 to invoke emergency calls. Once a user presses the panic button, five calls will be made to emergency number 112. Following this, five SMSs will be immediately sent to police authorities, and another three to five SMSs will be sent to family members of the user.
With this launch, Detel has become the first brand to launch feature phones with a panic button to ensure women's safety on the go. Also, Detel says that it follows Indian Government's policies like the 'Connecting India,' 'Make in India' and now the mandatory panic button of women' safety.
Talking about the feature phones, the D1 Boom offers a big speaker as the name itself suggests. All the four feature phones come with a display of 1.8-inch and accept dual SIM cards. They all sport a digital camera to the back, video recorder, audio/video players, memory card slot for storage expansion up to 16GB. All these phones come preinstalled with audio & video player, video recorder, call blacklist, SOS (USP of the phones), wireless FM and has a torch as well.
Detel also confirmed that these feature phones also come with one-year of warranty.
