Dell Venue 8 7000 launched in India with Intel RealSense 3D camera for Rs 34,999

Dell has just launched a new tablet in the country named the Venue 8 7000 which was first showcased at last year's Intel Developers Conference. It is being touted as the world's slimmest tablet with a waistline of mere 6mm. It further gets an Intel RealSense 3D camera at the rear. How this works is that you point it towards an object and you can find out the dimensions of the object through a software Dell and Intel have developed.

What happens is that the rear has three camera sensors, one primary and two secondary which help the tablet capture the depth of various objects.  It further has front audio speakers with Waves Maxx Audio. It has an 8.4-inch WQXGA OLED display. An Intel Atom Z3580 chipset with a quad-core CPU ticking at up to 2.3GHz is present under the hood and it is joined in by 2GB LPDDR3 of RAM.
