Amidst the high-competition in the Indian market, state-run telco Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has introduced a new Rs 191 tariff plan for its subscribers in Telangana region. Under the prepaid recharge plan Rs 191, BSNL is providing all benefits including voice calls, data, and SMS. The telco is calling this plan as Voice STV 191, and it's a promotional offer, meaning it will be valid for 90 days from the date of introduction. According to BSNL's official website, this offer is valid between January 10, 2018, to April 9, 2018. After the completion of 90 days, BSNL may extend the validity benefit or completely kill the plan.
The BSNL Voice STV 191 gives unlimited voice calling to any network while in the home circle. Unfortunately, it doesn't offer free roaming voice calls. The plan also offers 1GB data per day, but the data benefit is unlimited as post-1GB FUP every day, users can still enjoy data speed at 80 Kbps, which is enough to send and receive WhatsApp messages.
Also, the Rs 191 pack offers 300 any network SMS in the home circle, meaning customers will be charged if they send an SMS to a person in another circle. Finally, this new plan is valid for 28 days.
Alongside the Voice STV 191, BSNL is also offering other prepaid plans such as the Rs 187, which offers benefits of unlimited voice calling even on roaming, 1GB data per day for 28 days, and 100 SMS per day for the validity period. Furthermore, BSNL also has plans such as Rs 459 and Rs 551. The former offers 1GB data per day and unlimited voice calls to any network across the country for 71 days, while the latter offers only data benefit and it's 5GB data per day for 90 days.
Also, BSNL introduced two voice calling plans of Rs 62 and Rs 81. They both offer unlimited voice calls to any network in the country for 9 days and 14 days respectively. Also, the Rs 62 pack gives 300 SMS, while the Rs 500 pack offers 500 SMS for the validity period. Lastly, BSNL is also running a Welcome Offer in Andhra Pradesh & Telangana circles, under which it's giving free BSNL 3G SIM card to interested customers along with free 351MB of data.
