BSNL Overhauls Entire Broadband Tariff Portfolio to Compete With Airtel V-Fiber

Following its tradition of revising broadband plans, BSNL has made changes to entire broadband tariff portfolio. With this move, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is looking to compete with the likes of Airtel V-Fiber and Reliance Jio GigaFiber. BSNL has now made minor changes to its broadband plans priced between Rs 249 and Rs 2295. As we reported recently, the entry-level BB249 plan now offers three times more FUP. Some broadband plans from BSNL has received FUP limit extension while some plans now offer faster download speeds.

BSNL Revised Broadband Plans Under Rs 1000

Under Rs 1000, BSNL offers a total of 10 plans with speeds up to 10 Mbps and 70GB FUP limit. Firstly, the BB249 plan has been revised to provide a 5 Mbps connection until 15GB from the previous 5GB limit. Next on the list, we have the BSNL BBG Combo ULD 499 plan, which after revision, gives a user 8 Mbps speeds until 25GB. The BSNL BBG ULD 545 broadband plan also received a revision and now offering 30GB of data per month. All the three plans mentioned above offers a post FUP speed of 1 Mbps.

Other plans which got a revision are BSNL BBG Combo ULD 675, BSNL BBG ULD 795, BSNL BBG Combo ULD 845, BSNL BBO ULD 949 and BSNL BBG Combo ULD 999. The Rs 675 broadband plan from BSNL now provides a user up to 35GB of data at 10 Mbps speeds, followed by the Rs 795 plan whose FUP has been upgraded to 45GB. All the five plans mentioned above come with 10 Mbps speeds, but the FUP differs. The Rs 845 plan comes with a FUP of 50GB FUP; the Rs 949 plan gives 70GB of FUP per month and lastly, the Rs 999 plan also comes with a monthly FUP of 70GB. All the five plans do come with 2 Mbps after FUP speed and there’s no data limit as well.
