BSNL waives off 50% installation charges for new landline and broadband in Chennai circle

BSNL has just announced a promotional scheme to offer 50% off on installation charges for new landline, broadband, landline + broadband & CLSNP customers in Chennai circle. It has been approved by the authority concerned and will become applicable for a period of 90 days w.e.f.1st Oct 2014 as follows:

The scheme will be waiving off Rs.375 (for urban customers) and Rs.275 (for rural customers) on installation Charges under new & CLSNP landline customers connection category. Rs 125 will be waived off for customers opting only for broadband connections. The current charges are Rs 750, Rs 550 and Rs 250 respectively for these.




It will also waive off Rs.500 (for urban customers) and Rs.400 (for rural customers) on installation fee for the landline + broadband connection customers. All other charges will remain same. The Chennai circle has been the one chosen for this and a report post 1 month of implementation will be submitted. If the waiver is working in BSNL’s favour, it might expand the same to other circles too.
