After introducing true unlimited data STV, Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL) now doubled the validity for STV 561 from existing 30 days to 60 days. The new data tariff will come into effect from 1st September 2016 on PAN India basis.
Data STV 561 offer 5GB now comes with increased validity of 60 days compared to existing validity of 30 days. Few days ago BSNL had introduced new data STVs 549 offer 10GB data for 30 days. Since the new data STV 549 with 10GB made the existing data STV 561 with 5GB irrelevant, BSNL increased the validity of existing STV 561 instead of withdrawing it.
As Jio extends its unlimited preview offer to more and more devices, incumbent operators has already reduced their data tariff and introduced many special offer to retain their customers. At the same time BSNL made a bold move by introducing country's first true 3G unlimited data challenging existing players and upcoming 4G operator Jio.
