BSNL’s 4G Rollout at Vizag Steel Plant

The rollout of the BSNL 4G network at the steel plant is expected to substantially improve communication and operational efficiency within one of the country’s largest steel production facilities. The new network infrastructure will also facilitate seamless data transfer, enhance real-time communication, and support advanced industrial applications, thereby bolstering productivity and safety at the plant.

“BSNL AP inaugurated Swadeshi 4G services at the steel plant site in Visakhapatnam, AP Circle,” BSNL Andhra Pradesh said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

The equipment stack was manufactured under a consortium that developed the technology indigenously, including Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the state-run telecom research organisation C-DoT, and Tejas Networks.
