At the same time, the country's largest wired broadband service provider also revised several broadband plans to offer up to five times more FUP per month. The popular broadband plan from BSNL is the Rs 249 one which is now priced at Rs 299 and offers thrice the data benefit compared to earlier. BSNL Mega-Cashback Scheme

This new cashback scheme from BSNL comes as part of the new strategy by BSNL to retain its broadband subscribers before the launch of Reliance Jio’s GigaFiber FTTH service. The new mega-cashback scheme announced by BSNL will provide the subscribers with 25% cashback of their total bill amount when opting for an annual plan. On timely payment of the bill, for example, if the customer chooses for a plan with Rs 1,000 monthly rental, then they will receive a cashback of 25%, i.e. Rs 3,000 which they can further use to pay future bills or avail more services from BSNL. To opt with this new scheme by BSNL, customers can dial the BSNL toll-free number 1800-345-1500, or they can visit BSNL customer service centre. It’s also worth noting that BSNL has introduced this plans in all of its circles.

On the rollout of this new mega-cashback scheme, Shri Vivek Banzal, Director (Consumer Fixed Access), BSNL said, “We wanted to gift our customers something special for their overwhelming response to our services and products. So as a special gesture to our esteemed customers we have announced this unique gift.” At the time of announcing the offer, BSNL said that it will be available for a limited period of one month.

BSNL Revises Rs 249 Broadband Plan

Back in the start of December, the government led telco had started the month with the revision of one of its most popular plans, the Experience Unlimited Broadband Plan of Rs 249. The telecom operator bumped up the rental of this plan to Rs 299, but not only this, but the benefits of the plans were also turned into three times of the previous benefits. This time, instead of shipping 15GB data with a pre-FUP speed of 8Mbps, the plan ships 1.5GB daily data to the users translating the total benefits of the plan to 45GB. Also, the post FUP speed of this plan is 1Mbps. Further, the telco announced a new Combo unlimited plan of Rs 549 for the subscribers which ships 3GB of data per day to the subscribers with 8Mbps speed after which the speed is throttled down to 1Mbps.
