As per latest information that we’ve received, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has introduced 128K Nano SIM cards for its prepaid and postpaid mobile customers across India.
The government-owned telco has fixed the selling price/replacement charge of the newly launched 128K Nano SIM cards at Rs. 100 (inclusive of service taxes). Users of Jammu & Kashmir telecom circle have to pay Rs. 114 for the same, (Rs. 100 + Service Tax @ 14 percent).
Currently, BSNL offers 64K Nano SIM cards at a price of Rs. 59, 64K re-pluggable Smart SIM Cards at Rs. 20 for new connections/replacements. Recently BSNL has seen its SIM sales growth double as it introduced cheap data rates to gain new customers.

Private operators like Airtel are providing free SIM for 3G, 4G, and providing easy SIM swap through 2 messages. BSNL can follow their steps to provide customer satisfaction. We hope that if they implement this, they could get more new users as replacing a SIM or getting a new SIM cards is too hard in the East Zones.

There are so many people in some regions of India where BSNL lacks a robust distribution network. People want to use BSNL, but they couldn't manage or buy a new SIM card as purchasing a SIM card though BSNL exchanges takes too much time.
