Google is having a pretty busy day today with a slew of announcements coming from its channel. It has introduced an app, known as "Android for Work", which is compatible with devices running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and above. Earlier, it was only available for devices running Android 5.0 and above. Google has also announced that its Drive, Docs, Sheets and Slides apps will be getting an update to improve its functionality.
Starting off, Android for Work helps business users to keep their private and professional lives separate from each other. Users can access their mail, calendar, tasks, downloads, docs, slides and much more in secured IT environment. It also allows for a switch to easily distinguish between your professional and private lives.
The update to the Drive comes with a support for 23 new languages with Malayalam being one of them. You can now also share a file straight away from an upload notification. This would let you share your files faster and reduce the number of steps required for sharing a file over the Drive.
Google Docs update brings the functionality to view and act on suggestions from collaborators in the documents. You can also see changes and comments in MS Word files after the update. Moreover, update for the Sheets now enables the users to move, resize, and delete charts on-the-go. The Slides app has been improved as well, it now re-orders objects from front or back.
