Amazon, which held a major event yesterday at its headquarters in the United States has already brought the refreshed devices to the Indian market. The new models introduced by Amazon include Amazon Echo Dot, Echo Plus and a new Echo companion devices, dubbed Echo Sub. Thankfully, Amazon India did not hike the prices of Echo Dot and Echo Plus when compared to the first generation models. The all-new Echo Dot has been priced at Rs 4,499, while the new Echo Plus can be picked up for a price of Rs 14,999.

Amazon Echo Dot and Echo Plus Refreshed in India
At Rs 4,499, the Echo Dot comes with a new speaker for crisper sound and an updated fabric design. The US-based company stated the new model would deliver 70% powerful audio than the current Echo Dot. Moving onto the Echo Plus, it comes with a built-in Zigbee hub, an upgraded speaker and a new design will cost Rs 14,999. “We want you to have access to Alexa everywhere — in your living room, kitchen, bedroom or the office,” Jayshree Gururaj, Director, Amazon Devices, said in a statement.
The Echo Dot comes in a new curved shape and fabric finish. It will be available in charcoal, heather gray and sandstone colours. “Connect to your home theatre or favourite speaker via Bluetooth or 3.5mm audio cable for even bigger sound,” said the company.
With its built-in Zigbee smart home hub, the Echo Plus makes setting up compatible smart home devices easy. The all-new Echo Plus now includes an embedded temperature sensor, so you can set temperature-based routines using other smart home devices. It is available in charcoal, heather gray and sandstone colours.
