Airtel has introduced three new special tariff vouchers (STVs) offering unlimited calling for its subscribers in the Kerala circle. This move comes after launching 4G LTE service across four cities in Kerala and offering double data on 4G recharges.
The new STV 359 offers unlimited local Airtel-to-Airtel calls and comes with a validity of 30 days. On the other hand, STV 649 offers unlimited local mobile calls to any network for 30 days. Similarly, STV 849 offers unlimited local and STD calls to any network for 30 days.

This is the first instance where an incumbent operator like Airtel has offered true unlimited calling packs for prepaid subscribers. Recently, Vodafone started offering similar unlimited packs, but only for select customers as a special offer. With these new unlimited calling packs, Airtel is targeting high ARPU voice subscribers who are moving away from mobile networks due to call drop issues.
