In the recent times, telecom operators had a switch regarding the type of offers they want to provide to the customers. While at one point of time, data, voice and SMS were the main offerings, now most prepaid and postpaid plans are being judged based on how much free content they offer and Live TV apps make up a big part of it. One of the biggest Live TV app in the market right now is the Airtel TV application. With almost all of its prepaid and postpaid plans, Airtel provides an Airtel TV subscription to the customers offering access to live TV shows, movies, shows and more. The Airtel TV app is a very useful app for Airtel users and here are the features of the Airtel TV application.

Airtel TV Access to Live TV and On-Demand Video Content

The best thing about the Airtel TV application is live TV access. Unlike Reliance Jio, which offers two separate applications for video-on-demand content and live TV, Airtel TV combines them both under a single roof. The Airtel subscribers simply need to download one app to access movies and shows and live TV. The application offers 350+ channels across News, Entertainment, Infotainment, Music, Movies, Devotional, Lifestyle, Kids, Sports across multiple languages like English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi and more. Further, the Airtel application provides features like pause and play Live TV and choice of quality for content to control how much data you spend on Live TV streaming. Airtel has also talked about a new live TV backbone on the application which ensures faster streaming.

Airtel TV Dark Mode and New Tab

Just like many of the other applications in recent times, the Airtel TV app also comes with a new dark mode and a new tab. Along with the new dark mode on the latest update, the Airtel TV app also offers a slightly revamped navigation method which does not involve staring at bright screens. The dark mode on the Airtel TV app will not only make the viewing experience better, but it would also save the battery. Also, Airtel TV now has PiP mode but it's limited to the app itself.

Airtel TV Offering 10000+ Movies and TV Shows

During the past few months, Airtel TV was also offering easy access and coverage to the news to stay on top of the headlines of the Lok Sabha 2019 elections. On the video-on-demand content front too, the Airtel TV application is a handy thing to have on your phone as it boasts of having 10000+ movies and 100s of TV shows courtesy of its content partners like ZEE5, Hungama, Eros Now, HOOQ, Alt Balaji, ShareIt, YouTube. Also, if you have any missed live TV shows, then you can use the Airtel TV application to catch up. Some of the other features of Airtel TV include personal watchlist, multi-device Access with single login for all your devices and resume playback feature from the last point.
