Bharti Airtel, the former market leader has revised one of its most popular prepaid plans of Rs 199. Previously, this plan by Bharti Airtel used to offer 1.4GB daily data to the subscribers, whereas now the revised plan is offering 1.5GB of data to the users. This translates to 2.8GB of additional monthly data. However, the drawback is, Airtel’s offering is still below Reliance Jio’s which offers 2GB data per day with its Rs 198 plan. Speaking of the total data benefit, while Airtel offers 42GB of data per month, Reliance Jio is already providing 56GB of monthly data for its subscribers. With the industry competition growing intense day by day, telcos are taking steps to lure in more and more subscribers.

Airtel Rs 199 Prepaid Recharge: What Does it Offer?
Talking in detail about Airtel’s Rs 199 prepaid plan, it’s an open market plan available to every Airtel prepaid user in all the 22 telecom circles of India. Making changes to open market plan isn’t something we have seen from Airtel in the past, but with the competition heating up, the telco is forced to do. To recall, Airtel introduced the Rs 199 prepaid plan earlier this year when Jio came up with its 1.5GB daily and 2GB daily data plans. While Jio gave a masterstroke to Airtel by shipping 2GB data per day, Airtel is now trying to catch up with Jio, but it’s still way behind.
The Rs 199 prepaid recharge from Bharti Airtel now comes with 1.5GB daily data (42GB for the entire validity period), unlimited local, STD and national roaming voice calls along with 100 SMS per day for 28 days.
