Following Idea's recent revision of 2G and 3G data packs, Airtel has revised its 2G data pack offering in Punjab circle. The validity and data available on existing 2G packs has been reduced.
Airtel 2G basic pack of 1GB/28 days now comes at a price of Rs 199. Existing 2G pack Rs 175 which used to offer 1GB/28 days now comes with 700MB/22 days. Similarly Rs 155 data pack has been revised to offer 600MB/19 days. Rs 125 and Rs 98 pack offer 500MB for 16 days and 14 days respectively.
This hike was already expected from Airtel after Idea recently hiked its 2G and 3G data packs. Operators are pushing up data pack cost in name of recent service tax revision and high cost spectrum auctions.
