AIRTEL CROSSES 5MILLION SUBSCRIBER MARK IN DELHI

AIRTEL 5 MILLION SUBSCRIBERIndia's Leading GSM Mobile service provider Bharti Airtel today announced that its subscriber base has crossed five million marks in the Delhi & NCR circle making it the first mobile operator to achieve this landmark in a metro circle.

Bharti Airtel, which crossed the subscriber base of 100 million in the country last month, said it added the last one million subscribers in only 13 months in the Delhi -NCR circle that already boasts of a mobile penetration of almost 100 per cent.




According to the figures provided by Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) the GSM-based mobile operators’ body, Bharti Airtel had maintained its leadership position in the GSM-space with a market share of 32.48 per cent.

In May Airtel hit the landmark of reaching 100 (99.5) million subscribers mark with the addition of 2.8 million users in the month.Airtel CEO (Mobile Services), Delhi&NCR, Shashi Arora said," This is a testimony to the faith and trust that the customers of the Delhi&NCR have reposed on Airtel and we would like to take this opportunity to thank every single one.
