ACT Fibernet Gifting 250GB Data to Broadband Customers as T20 Data Surprise

ACT Fibernet has started gifting its subscribers free data on the occasion of Indian Premier League 2018. As part of its T20 Data Surprise, ACT is adding 250GB data for free to every customer's account so that they can watch the IPL 2018 matches without any interruption online. This is a good gesture from the Internet Service Provider, and it will certainly cheer up the ACT Fibernet subscribers. The Indian Premier League 2018 will kickstart from today and users can view the Live matches online at Hotstar with either the premium subscription or with the newly introduced Rs 299 Sports-only pack.

If you're an Airtel customer, you can watch the Live matches only exclusively on Airtel TV application, while Jio users can do the same on JioTV application. The 250GB data, which ACT Fibernet is crediting will be valid until May 31, 2018.

Usually, if a customer wants to purchase 250GB of data additionally, it will cost them more than Rs 1,500. For example, the 200GB flexyBytes+ data add-on pack with 90 days validity costs Rs 1,250, while the 500GB add-on costs Rs 2,500. But in this case, ACT Fibernet is offering 250GB of additional data at no extra charges.

On top of this, the ISP is also offering extra 1500GB data on 6 & 12 months subscription for users in Bengaluru. The long-validity advance rental customers will get 300GB of free data every month until August 2018 and for those users, the free data for this month will be 550GB including the T20 Data Surprise scheme.

In other news, ACT Fibernet is carrying out testing of its upcoming Android-based streaming device, dubbed ACTTV+. This is an Android-based device, meaning it comes with all the Android services such as Google Play Store and the eligible subscribers who already received the ACTTV+ as part of the testing can watch the IPL 2018 using this streaming device also by installing the Hotstar application from the Play Store.

The ACTTV+ box will be launched in the next couple of months as the testing phase is expected to be completed by the end of the May. ACT is giving the box to eligible customers for one month to test it and is collecting feedback from them.
