Expanding the Indonesia Internet Exchange (IIX)

As part of the agreement, APJII will deploy a new Indonesia Internet Exchange (IIX) node at the CGK 3A campus. This initiative aims to strengthen the region’s internet traffic exchange, creating a carrier-neutral interconnection ecosystem. The addition of IIX at this campus will meet the growing demands for high bandwidth and low latency, which are essential for modern applications, according to the official release.

Campus Tailored for AI inferencing

The CGK 3A campus, designed specifically for AI inferencing, will benefit from optimised, high-speed connectivity, enabling real-time data processing and improved responsiveness for AI models. The initiative aims to create a carrier-neutral interconnection ecosystem, addressing the demands for high bandwidth and low latency in modern applications.

Indonesia’s Digital Ecosystem

“BDx Indonesia’s CGK3A campus is specifically tailored for AI inferencing and is poised to accelerate AI capabilities in the country. Establishing IIX at the AI inferencing data center will enable optimized, direct, and high-speed connectivity between the data center and various networks,” BDx said in a release on January 15, 2025.
