Verizon Expands 5G Ultra Wideband Coverage to Michigan and North Dakota

US telecommunications company Verizon has announced the expansion of its 5G Ultra Wideband network to multiple cities in North Dakota and Michigan. According to the official release, this move brings residents faster speeds and increased capacity, enhancing their mobile internet experience.

In North Dakota, the cities of Crosby, Columbus, Flaxton, Sherwood, Mohall, Westhope, Willow City, Belcourt, Rolla, Starkweather, Devils Lake, Anamoose, Velva, Williston, Newtown, Killdeer, Beach, Center, New Rockford, Jamestown, Gackle, Ashley, Grafton, Wahpeton, Drayton, Buxton, Valley City, Oriska, Forman, and Ludden will now have access to Verizon’s 5G Ultra Wideband network.

Similarly, in Michigan, the coverage has been extended to Saginaw, Bay City, Holland, Kalamazoo, Jackson, Lansing, Battle Creek, Wayland, Muskegon, Rockford, Benton Harbor, Midland, Owosso, Oscoda, Clare, and Clio.

Verizon’s 5G Ultra Wideband Network

Verizon said its 5G Ultra Wideband brings power and performance comparable to a wired broadband internet connection to customers’ pockets. According to Verizon, the power and performance of its 5G Ultra Wideband network allow users to engage in activities such as downloading large files, streaming high-definition audio and video content, playing console-quality games, and conducting video chats and conferences with crystal-clear sound and visuals.

Network Enhancements and Future Plans

Verizon said its network enhancements in North Dakota and Michigan utilize the recently acquired C-band spectrum, enabling the deployment of 5G Ultra Wideband with up to 100 MHz of spectrum. As more licensed spectrum becomes available, the telco plans to add even more bandwidth, further enhancing the speed and capacity of the network. This additional bandwidth is expected to be accessible by the end of the year, delivering exceptional connectivity to users.
