Apple iPhone 13 With Touch ID to Not Arrive In 2021

In a few more weeks, Apple is gearing up to unveil the next-generation model – the iPhone 13 series. As the launch is nearing, we are coming across various rumors and leaks suggesting what we can expect from the iPhone 13 lineup. In a recent development, a report reveals details about the iPhone 13 model with Touch ID.

As per Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman in the Power On newsletter, Apple will skip launching the iPhone 13 with an in-screen fingerprint sensor or Touch ID later this year. He added that the company will have a long-term goal to add Face ID under the display.

It appears to be clear that the Cupertino-based tech giant is sticking with the Face ID for the long term but there is a possibility to use Touch ID at least for the low-end models. But this is not going to happen this year.

Mark Gurman notes that there could be two possibilities – low-end models with Face ID sensors within the notch on top of the display as in the existing models and high-end iPhone 13 models with in-display Face ID. On the other hand, the company might offer an in-display Face ID for the premium models while the low-end models might arrive with Touch ID inside the display.

iPhone 13: What To Expect?

iPhone 13 lineup is believed to feature a slightly smaller notch and a 120 Hz refresh rate in the premium Pro models. Also, it is being reiterated that the company might offer a 1TB internal storage space this year. It is claimed that there could be support for mmWave 5G for countries outside the US. The upcoming models are believed to arrive with space-saving internal circuitry that could let the company place a larger battery.
