In 2022, Samsung will be coming out with the Galaxy S22 series. The company is known for offering its flagship smartphones with different chipsets in different regions of the world. Usually, the company offers its flagships with an Exynos SoC in most of the regions including India. But this time around, Samsung might change that. Samsung fans, you might see its flagships pre-dominantly running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 SoC in 2022. The company might offer the AMD powered Exynos 2200 SoC only in select markets. Here’s everything we know about this.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Might Come With Snapdragon 898 Mostly

The South Korean tech giant might come out with the Galaxy S22 series pre-dominantly running on the Snapdragon 898 SoC. Samsung’s choice of processors has mostly been scrutinised by its fans across the world who want to see it go with Snapdragon processors most of the time.

But this time around, even the power of the chipsets can be a little different. Samsung’s Exynos 2200 is expected to be more powerful than the Snapdragon 898. According to some online reports, the Exynos 2200 SoC can give tough competition to the Apple A14 Bionic.

Thus, the Exynos 2200 powered smartphones might be more powerful than people assume it to be. At the same time, it might also be more expensive than what people expect it to come for. Regardless, it would be a refreshing change to see. It will also let Samsung test its move and see just how many people are attracted to a smartphone running on the Qualcomm chipsets and how many are attracted to its smartphones running on the in-house SoC.

The report comes from Lanzuk (via PhoneArena). It will be an interesting thing to see how the fans of the company would respond to such a move and just how successful Samsung's Exynos 2200 SoC will be.
