Nokia India Cuts Prices Of Mobile Phones In Mumbai By 8.5%

In an attempt to counter the VAT effects over Mobile Phone sales in Maharashtra, Nokia India leading Mobile Phone maker announced the reduction in the price of all Mobile Phones for Mumbai- Maharashtra by 8.5%.

According to the release the company is interested in Uniform Price  for all over India to reduce confusion amongst Buyers as well as Dealers.The Uniform Price will help to boost it sales and campaign.




After the reductions in Prices, now Nokia E72 will be available at Rs.18440 in Mumbai same as in other sate, earlier it was 20,150.While Nokia E63 will cost just at Rs.8900 and its low end handset Nokia-1209 will cost Rs.1209, Nokia 1661-Rs.1449, Nokia2700-Rs.3790, Nokia5030-Rs.1690, Nokia 5130-Rs.4990 and Nokia 2730C (3G Mobile Phone)- Rs.4410.

Last year the State Government of Maharashtra has increased the Value Added Tax (VAT) on mobile phones from 4% to 12.5%. As a result Mobile Phone Buyers in Maharashtra had to pay more for compared to fellow buyers in other states in the country.

With this drop in prices of Nokia Mobile Phones in Mumbai-Maharashtra,the prices of Nokia Phone have now come in par with all the prices in Rest of India which is a good sign for Nokia buyers in Mumbai-Maharashtra.
