Asus Launches VivoBook S15, VivoBook S14 Laptops in India, Prices Start at Rs 54,990

Ahead of the new MacBook Air launch, Asus launched two new Windows 10 laptops in India. These are the VivoBook S15 (S530) and the VivoBook S14 (S430). Asus has launched the VivoBook S15 (S530) for Rs 54,990, while the S14 (S430) had been priced at Rs 69,990. Both the laptops will be available in five colours for buying -- Icicle Gold, Firmament Green, Silver Blue, Star Grey, and Gun Metal.

Both the Asus VivoBook S15, VivoBook S14 laptops come with an ErgoLift hinge which automatically tilts the keyboard by 3.5° and recreates the familiar feeling of a desktop computer. “The hinge also provides extra ventilation space, enabling more airflow around the underside of the chassis for improved cooling,” Asus claims. The innovative hinge makes the Asus laptop comfortable to use and type.

Asus VivoBook S15, VivoBook S14 Features

Both the S15 and S14 are smaller, lighter, and much compact laptops compared to the previous generation VivoBooks. The S15 comes packed with a 15.6-inch screen and weighs 1.8kg, while the 14-inch S14 is around 1.4kg. “Both the laptops can easily “slip into laptop or travel bags, even backpacks and be one’s constant companions,” Asus says.

On the hardware front, both the VivoBook S15 and VivoBook S14 laptops are powered by up to an 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processor, with NVIDIA GeForce MX150 discrete graphics and pack a dual-storage design.

Asus VivoBook S15, VivoBook S14 laptops equip a three-sided NanoEdge display which the company claims offers users immersive viewing experience. Both the laptops feature narrower bezels along the top and sides of the display. The VivoBook S15 offers a screen-to-body ratio of 86 per cent while the S14 come with an 84 per cent screen-to-body ratio. In addition, both the Asus laptops feature Wi-Fi Master technology and offer a top speed of up to 867 Mbps is 6X faster than 802.11n. This will offer users seamless video-streaming, smooth web-surfing and lag-free gaming experience.

The new VivoBook S15, VivoBook S14 laptops come with a one-touch optional fingerprint sensor built into the touchpad, which Asus claims is pretty secure. On the connectivity front, the S15 and S14 have the reversible USB Type-C port with the any-way-up design. Both these Asus laptops come with an integrated ASUS Battery Health Charging technology, which Asus says will offer safer charging experience and also decrease the battery expansion rate during charging. Overall, the Asus Battery Health Charging technology is said to ensure that the battery of the laptop stays in good condition.

Asus launches VivoBook S15, VivoBook S14 Availability

The Asus VivoBook S15 will be available across all Asus exclusive stores from November 15 onwards for a price tag of Rs 54,990. On the other hand, the VivoBook S14 (S430) will be exclusively available from November 1 on Flipkart. This model has been priced at Rs 69,990.
