Notably, BlackBerry launched the KEY2 in India on July 23 for the price of Rs 42,990. The phone comes with a QWERTY keypad and gives new users a vintage feel while providing access to the latest hardware and software of a modern day phone. The phone will start selling exclusively on Amazon on July 31. This week, the company has been expected to launch two new phones in the country.

The two phones which are likely to launch in the event being held on August 2, have been codenamed BlackBerry Ghost and BlackBerry Ghost Pro. However, reports and leaks have hinted that these phones will be BlackBerry Evolve and BlackBerry Evolve X. The phones are expected to come with dual cameras at the rear with low light enhancement and optical zoom features; there are also the talks of 4000mAh battery. The design of the phone has been expected to bear a modern phone resemblance with the high screen-to-body ratio, slim bezels and no physical QWERTY keypad like the KEY2. Also, the phone has been claimed to come with the Android operating system, like the recent BlackBerry smartphones.
