This is very much predicted. Idea Cellular, the third largest Indian telecom operator, has revised its unlimited prepaid combo plans today. Much like Airtel, Idea also revised three prepaid tariff plans- Rs 199, Rs 449, and Rs 509, and all the three plans now offer 1.4GB data per day, up from the earlier 1GB data per day offering. Alongside the data benefit, these three plans also offer unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS per day.

Idea’s Rs 199 prepaid tariff plan is valid for 28 days, and with 1.4GB data per day offering, the overall data benefit becomes 39GB. And the Rs 449 prepaid tariff plan comes with a validity of 82 days, offering a whopping 114GB of data. Finally, the Rs 509 plan offers benefits for 90 days, which takes the overall data benefit to 126GB. These three plans earlier used to offer 1GB data per day.
Sadly, Idea Cellular did not revise the Rs 357 tariff plan though, and it still gives 2GB data per day for 28 days. In contrast, Airtel revised its Rs 349 tariff plan which now offers 2.5GB data per day for 28 days. Also, Idea did not modify the Rs 309 plan too, which still offers 1GB data per day for 70 days.
Like Airtel, Idea’s prepaid tariff plans are yet to go official in many circles. As of this writing, we can confirm the plans availability in Chennai, Tamil Nadu circles. Having said that, we’re expecting Idea Cellular to roll out the plans in other circles by the end of tomorrow.
