HMD Global is set to unveil the Nokia 6 (2018) as early as January 5 (tomorrow), if the leaked invites are to be believed. Though much has been reported about Nokia 6 (2018) specs, from various leaks as well via China’s TENAA listing, there was no information on how the device would look like. Now, just a day before its alleged release, first renders of second-gen Nokia 6 have appeared on a Chinese website.

The Nokia 6 (2018) photos revealing both front and rear panels, and as well as minor details emerged on a Chinese website, Vtechgraphy. At first look, the new Nokia 6 completes resembles the older and original Nokia 6 released exactly a year ago, continuing the same tough design style. There are, however, minor design changes from a gold trim design around the phone border to replacing the fingerprint scanner from the front panel to rear of the device.
The fingerprint scanner has now been placed under the camera lens, and the camera module also sports a thin gold stripe design. These new visual changes impact the whole black body giving it a steady elegance.

In addition, the Nokia 6 now supports even thinner bezels both up and below the display, but sadly, it’ still a 16:9 screen and not an 18:9 display. With fingerprint scanner moved to the rear, the lower bezel has been made even thinner. This brings the greater screen-to-body ratio to Nokia 6, even though the device doesn’t incorporate the trendy full-screen design.
