It’s been quite a busy month for Motorola. The Lenovo-owned company had initially launched the Moto Z2 Play in India, then came the Moto E4, E4 Plus, and now it’s time for a couple of other handsets which include the Moto Z2 and the Moto X4, right?

Well, not entirely. While there are still chances for the company to announce the Moto Z2 during this month’s upcoming events, the Moto X4 may not see the light of day by the end of this month. A tipster who goes by the moniker Andri Yatim (@HeyAndri) claims in a tweet that the company won’t be launching the much-rumored Moto X4 on June 30’s event.

This could primarily be due to the shortage in Snapdragon 660 SoC’s supply, he suggests. In case you are unaware, the Moto X4 has been widely tipped to house Qualcomm’s recently unveiled mid-range chip, the Snapdragon 660 SoC. The shortage of these chipsets means the company will have to hold the launch event for a while.

To recall, Andri Yatim is the same tipster who revealed that the Moto X4 will be launched on June 30 in the first place. Moving ahead anyway, he also claims that the company will only launch the Moto E4 Plus in the US on June 30 instead, and perhaps mention when the Moto Z2 will be announced.

Previous leaks revealed that the Moto X4 will come with a glass and metal sandwiched design. It is expected to feature a 5.5-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 660 chipset (as mentioned earlier), and 4GB of RAM coupled with 64GB of internal storage space.

The Moto X4 will reportedly come with the IP68 dust and water resistance, a dual camera setup on the back, USB Type-C port, and a 3,800mAh battery to back this entire package. Leaks also suggested that the smartphone will support Quick Charge 3.0 tech.
