Back in March, Indian smartphone brand, Lava forayed into the budget and mid-range category, erstwhile known for the entry-level smartphones. Lava announced two smartphones, the Lava Z10 and the Lava Z25 at Rs. 9,990 and Rs. 16,990 respectively. Today, the company has announced a new 3GB of RAM variant of the budget Lava Z10 in India.
Previously, the Lava Z10 was released with 2GB of RAM on board at Rs. 9,990, and the 3GB RAM variant went on for sale recently, says Lava. The upgraded variant is already available to purchase via the company's retail stores in India says a Gadgets360 report.
The Lava Z10 3GB of RAM variant costs Rs. 11,500 and for the asking price, the device will compete with the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, Huawei Honor 6X, and various other budget smartphones. The Lava Z10 has a 5-inch HD display, with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels, which is also curved by a 2.5D glass.
At the heart of the phone is a 64-bit MediaTek MT6735 chipset, working in tandem with 2GB/3GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage. The storage is expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card slot.
The cameras in the Lava Z10 are mediocre as it has an 8MP primary camera with a LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera. The device comes laden with Star OS 3.3 built on top of Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. It has a small 2620mAh battery and comes in a single gold colour.
Lava is also offering a 365-day free screen replacement with the purchase of Lava Z10 along with a 30-day free replacement. If a customer breaks or shatters his Z10' screen within 365 days, he can head over to the company's service centre and get it replaced for free. The Lava Z10 2GB of AM variant can also be purchased via e-commerce site Flipkart, but the 3GB RAM option is not yet listed in Flipkart.
