HTC has unveiled four new affordable smartphones, these devices are bundled with decent specifications and design. The devices do not come with a metal build, but they do have a solid look that can be seen with other HTC devices such as the Desire 820. These latest devices are the HTC Desire 626, Desire 626s, Desire 526, and Desire 520 (in the image below).

All the four smartphones, are powered by a 1.1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor with 4G LTE connectivity. They run Android 5.1 Lollipop with HTC’s in-house Sense 7 UI on top. All the four devices come bundled with HTC BlinkFeed, HTC Themes, and HTC Sense Home applications are backed by 2000mAh battery. The internal storage on all the four devices is expandable up to 2TB via microSD card and connectivity features on each of them includes, 4G, 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1.

HTC Desire 526

The HTC Desire 520 comes with a 4.5-inch display with 480x854 pixels resolution and support for a single nano-SIM. There is 1GB of RAM on-board along with 8GB of internal storage, and an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash paired with a 2-megapixel front camera. On the contrary, The HTC Desire 526 (in the image above) features a 4.7-inch qHD with 540x960 pixels resolution and 1.5GB of RAM. Rest all the specifications are same for both the devices.

HTC Desire 626s

Now coming on to the HTC Desire 626 and Desire 626s (in the image above), these two also share identical specifications, both of them come with a 5-inch HD with 720x1280 pixels resolution, and an 8-megapixel rear camera. The Desire 626 is bundled with 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage, and 5-megapixel front camera, while on the other hand, the Desire 626s features 1GB of RAM, 8GB internal storage, and 2-megapixel front camera.

HTC Desire 520

The HTC Desire 626s and HTC Desire 626 will be available in dual-color combinations such as Gray Lava, Blue Lagoon, Marshmallow White, White Birch, and Marine White. The HTC Desire 526 will be available in Stealth Black color variant and the HTC Desire 520 (in the image above) will be available in Steel Grey color variant.

So, these phones are basically targeted at the low-end users who do not really expect powerful specifications. Having said that, these phones somehow manage to fit in the affordable segment of smartphones with many good features. HTC has not revealed any detail about the pricing and availability of these devices, however, given the specs we don’t really expect a high price for these smartphones. These phones have been launched in the U.S. as of now, but we do hope that HTC brings them to India as well.

Commenting on the launch, Jason Mackenzie, president of HTC America said, "At HTC, we don't think you should have to sacrifice or settle if you are looking for an affordable smartphone. That is why we are bringing the absolute best affordable smartphones to market with the HTC Desire line-up. Our Desire smartphones bring the premium experiences, performance and style of our flagship smartphone at an incredible price,” he said.
