Asus Zenfone 2, which was unveiled earlier this year during CES 2015, will make its entry into India soon. Asus has sent out media invites to the launch event of the Zenfone 2 in India, which is to be held in New Delhi on April 23.

Asus Zenfone 2 India Launch Invite April 23

In the press invite, Asus has teased 4GB RAM, which means that the highest-end variant of the Asus Zenfone 2 will be launched in the country. It (Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML) features a 5.5-inch 1080p display, a 2.3GHz quad-core 64-bit processor from Intel, PowerVR G6430 GPU, 4GB RAM, 16GB storage, microSD card slot, 4G LTE connectivity, Android 5.0 Lollipop, and a 3,000 mAh battery. It features a 13-megapixel primary camera with dual-tone dual-LED flash, 1080p video recording, and a 5-megapixel secondary camera.

The slightly cut-down variant of the device (ZenFone 2 ZE550ML) is a dual-SIM smartphone, and features a 5.5-inch 720p display, a 1.8GHz quad-core 64-bit processor from Intel, PowerVR G6430 GPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, microSD card slot, 4G LTE connectivity, Android 5.0 Lollipop, and a 3,000 mAh battery. It features a 13-megapixel primary camera with dual-tone dual-LED flash, 1080p video recording, and a 5-megapixel secondary camera.

The lowest-end variant of the Zenfone 2 is actually quite similar to the Asus Zenfone 5, which was launched in India last year. It features a 5-inch 720p display, 1.6 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, microSD card slot, Android 5.0 Lollipop, and a 2,500  mAh battery. It features a 2-megapixel camera up front and an 8-megapixel camera on the rear of the device. We are expecting that Asus would launch the highest-end variant of the Zenfone 2 below Rs. 20,000, and the other variants below Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 15,000 price marks respectively.
